Visits

An author or illustrator visit is a wonderful way to get students excited about books. I love to chat with kids and teachers and share my experience and enthusiasm for my work.

My school visits usually start with reading from one of the books I’ve worked on. Then I give a presentation about how I create the art to accompany the story from start to finish. Given time, I end the visit with interactive activities based on the age of the audience, such as a drawing demonstration for younger children and or putting together a mini dummy book project for older kids.

If students would like to order personalized books through me for the day of the event, I offer schools a 20% discount on the bulk order. Simply distribute pre-order forms to families, then collect and send me order information 4 weeks before the school visit. I then order the books, sign them beforehand and have everything ready for visit day.

If you’re interested in scheduling a visit in person or via Skype, please contact me!
